Professional Services Network CEO
Named One of Maryland’s Top 100
Minority/Women Business Entrepreneurs

SILVER SPRING, MD (October 19, 2007) – The President & CEO of Silver Spring, Maryland-based Professional Services Network, Inc., has been selected to receive the prestigious Top 100 Minority Business Enterprise Award, honoring minority and women entrepreneurs.

Terri Kapetanovic of Rockville, a registered nurse and founder and President/Chief Executive Officer of the 17-year old healthcare staffing and consulting company, had been unaware she had been nominated for the award, nor did she know one of her long-time clients had written a letter of recommendation on her behalf, prior to being notified of the honor.

Presented by The University of Maryland University College, the Maryland Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs (GOMA) and The Maryland Chamber of Commerce, the award program is designed to salute the region’s best minority and women business owners and to highlight their achievements.

“It is a wonderful surprise to join the Top 100 list in Maryland,” said Ms. Kapetanovic. “It is quite an honor.”

Professional Services Network, Inc., is a managed care nurse and social worker staffing and consulting company that works with hospitals, health insurance companies and other health care organizations. The company provides nurses and social workers with background in case management, utilization review and quality improvement for temporary, consulting and direct hire positions.

According to Ms. Kapetanovic, “One of the key attributes of our business is that we are a nurse-owned company with roots in professional practice and managed healthcare. Through our professional contacts, excellent nurses, social workers and staff, our business continues to grow here and nationally.”

The company expects to exceed $2 million in annual revenue for the first time in 2007.

Added Susan C. Aldridge, President of the University of Maryland University College, “As the entrepreneurial campus in the University System of Maryland, we are honored to support the working men and women who are building businesses and future opportunities.”

A panel of distinguished judges chose Ms. Kapetanovic as an entrepreneur who demonstrates outstanding achievements in four key areas: business development, client satisfaction, professional affiliations and community outreach. Each business entering the competition was required to submit a letter from a client, attesting to their satisfaction with the company.

Sharon R. Pinder, founder of the TOP 100 MBE Awards Ceremony said, “The business owners selected for this award represent the best of the region’s more than 350,000 women and minority owned businesses. Their contributions have had a major impact in maintaining Maryland’s vibrant economy.”

The Top 100 will be honored at an award ceremony at the Inn and Conference Center at University of Maryland university College, in Adelphi, Maryland, on November 8th, beginning at 5:30 p.m. For a complete listing of the Top 100, please go to www.top100mbe.com.
