Sheronica, MSHA, has over 12 years of diversified experience in healthcare quality. Her areas of expertise include quality improvement, regulatory compliance, accreditation and certification preparation, process improvement, corporate education & training, project management, publication review, and operational success.

Sheronica worked internally for the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for eight years serving as an Accreditation Manager, Administrative Surveyor, Executive Reviewer (ER), Incorporation of Comment Reviewer (IOC), Publication Reviewer, and Adjunct Education Faculty. Her standards & guidelines expertise include: Health Plan Accreditation (HPA), Managed Behavioral Healthcare Organizations (MBHO), Disease Management (DM), Case Management Accreditation, (CM), Utilization Management and Credentialing (UMCR), Provider Network (PN), Credentialing Verification Organizations, (CVO), Health Information Products (HIP), and Wellness and Health Promotion (WHP). She has worked with organizations of various sizes and structures, from single-entity to corporate, multiple entity organizations. Sheronica continues to serve as NCQA’s Adjunct Education Faculty, teaching courses such as Introduction and Advanced Credentialing, Delegation, How to Prepare for a Successful Survey, Provider Network, and much more. 

Sheronica’s extensive background also includes Managed Care Organization (MCO) management experience where she was responsible for assisting three operational areas in coordinating and leading departmental quality processes as well as leading quality work teams and projects. She ensured on-going compliance with internal and external accreditation and regulatory compliance standards and managed all delegated and non-delegated credentialing activities. She was also responsible for leading Medicaid and Medicare Deeming regulatory work teams, HEDIS, company-wide audits, and educational trainings related to on-going compliance and process improvement.

Sheronica is a Six Sigma Greenbelt and received her B.S. in Education (Sports Medicine) from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. She received her Masters of Science in Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.
