As a consultant partnering with PSN you will benefit from our marketing expertise, as well as our administrative assistance. PSN’s qualified administrative staff handle all initial inquiries and match our clients to the consultant who best fits their needs. We schedule the initial consultant call and handle all agreements, and invoicing of clients. PSN additionally carries all the necessary insurance our clients require, such as Professional Liability, Cyber Security and Worker’s Compensation. We also register with the client state and pay all required corporate taxes.
As the consultant, you would have an initial call with the client, draw up a Scope of Work based on the call, and wait to hear from PSN. We will notify you once the client signs the agreement so you can begin work. PSN pays you a competitive hourly rate for hours worked on a bi-weekly basis for all work performed in the prior two-week period.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibilities will include assisting organizations to meet national and state requirements of the managed care industry. Necessary skills include the ability to assess, analyze, and evaluate information so as to provide recommendations to organizations that will assist them in producing a higher level of operational standards, and facilitate change as necessary. Familiarity with current industry standards for accreditation are required. The skills of educator, consultant, and facilitator are utilized in this position.
- Consultation service product line. Specific focus involves consulting with managed care organizations to meet accreditation standards of URAC.
- Establish effective client relationships with all levels of administrative and management individuals within contracted organizations.
- Assess and analyze documentation provided by companies in describing their day to day operations; provide recommendations based on knowledge of current national standards.
- Provide recommendations based on knowledge of the current URAC national standards.
- Prepare accurate recommendations and summary reports based on assessment information collected.
Minimum Education and Experience required
- 10 years of experience in a health care field, preferably the last five years with recent experience specifically in an area of managed care and quality management.
- At least two years URAC accreditation experience as a surveyor or with in depth knowledge from client perspective.
- Prior consultative or educator experience working with companies (internal or external) involved in managed care objectives.
- Degree in healthcare field preferred
